My name is Nora Molloy, and I am a 6th-grade teacher at St. Jude School. This is my 4th year teaching. However, this will be my 13th year at SJS. I attended this school from 2001-2011, and I could not be more thrilled to be back at a place I consider to be my second home.
I graduated from DeSales University with my BA Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education Throughout my time in college, I learned a lot about the way children learn and various theories on how to teach effectively. I personally favor hands-on, discovery learning where students take center stage in every lesson as I facilitate their understanding. But more than this, I realized that the best way to teach is by educating the entire person - mind, and spirit. I want my students to not only learn about our Catholic faith but understand why we believe and how much they are loved. I want my students to see Christ in one another and in themselves. This is why I cannot see myself teaching anywhere other than a Catholic school. It is a vocation I am honored to accept.
St. Jude has always had a special place in my heart and I feel so blessed to be working with such an amazing and supportive team of faculty and staff members. I am so excited to guide my students as they grow in grace and discover who they want to be as students, friends, leaders, and children of God!
