"Teaching is a beautiful job as it allows you to see the growth day by day of people entrusted to your care. It is a great responsibility." ~Pope Francis
My name is Camille Rock and I have been teaching for 25 years, and beginning my 19th year at Saint Jude School. I have taught second, fourth, sixth, and seventh grades. I am a proud product of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and hold a degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University.
My husband Jim and I have three children: Samantha, Jimmy, and Lindsay. We are also proud grandparents to Nolan, who is now ten months old and the purest form of joy in our lives. My favorite place to be is on a beach, especially down at the Jersey Shore. I also enjoy cooking, reading, and exercising.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I "played school" endlessly for hours as a child. I can honestly say that I love the path I have chosen in life. My teaching philosophy is to learn from your mistakes and keep trying. I strive to teach by example with respect and kindness. I strive to help my middle school students grow deeper in their spiritual faith with God and reach their academic goals. I am truly blessed working in such a dynamic, but most importantly, a warm welcoming school called Saint Jude.
