Welcome to 7A! My name is Emily Loeffler. I have been honored to be a part of the SJS family since 2017. I am privileged to work alongside our talented sixth through eighth grade students in science, mathematics, and STEM. I graduated from Temple University in 2016, where I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education with a focus in science. In the summer of 2020, I graduated from the University of Iowa with a M.S. in STEM Education.
I believe in challenging our students to continually become a better version of themselves with each new day. The world is constantly adapting and improving, and we must do the same! One of my favorite parts of teaching at St. Jude includes our participation in exhilarating STEM events and competitions, such as the BCSRC Science Fair, VJM Sciathlon, BCIU STEM Design Challenge, and Scholastic eCybermission.
Aside from my love of learning and being in the classroom, I enjoy coaching cheerleading at Archbishop Wood High School, spending time with family and friends, and going on long runs with my dog, Kobe! Working at St. Jude School is a great privilege, and I am blessed to work among such wonderful staff and families.
“Scientists discover the world that exists, engineers discover the world that never was.”
