I am Jeannette Goodwin and I teach first grade at Saint Jude School. I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for 19 years. This will be my 14th year teaching at SJS. I spent five years teaching Kindergarten and I am entering my ninth year with first graders.
I strive to make a difference in the lives of my students each and every day. I believe every child has God-given gifts and it is my privilege to help them on their journey of discovery. Our classroom is one in which all children are valued, mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow, and the "Power of Yet" holds a lot of power!
I am passionate about many things but near the top of the list and relevant to my role as a teacher are three things: the Catholic faith, believing in yourself, and teaching children to read. I look forward to a year in which we all believe in ourselves and each other; a year full of positivity and growth; a year full of faith and joy.
