Fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming an artist, I received my Bachelor of Fine Art from Villanova University. After graduation, while working in the art field, I also taught bible school at a Glenmary Mission in Kentucky. It was there that I found my passion for teaching. I became certified in Elementary Education and later, in Art Education. My experience teaching over the past many years, and specifically teaching art the last sixteen years has been wonderful. I am always excited to see my students grow and improve artistically and to see how they handle each art project in their own unique way. As an active member of St. Stanislaus Parish, I have a deep faith and I am happy to show students religious works of art history and fully explain them as a Catholic..
I am a recent widow and have three adult children and one two year old grandson, who brings me great joy. Other notable characters in my daily life include my pets, Meeko, a 19 pound cat, and Bobbie, a tweety cockatiel. These days, I find happiness in continuing to work as an artist, viewing art exhibitions for inspiration, taking long walks, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite candy, you ask, are dark chocolate mints.
